[Book Tour] Forget Me Not by Allison Whitmore

Forget Me Not by Allison Whitmore
Publication date: September 14th 2015
Genres: Historical, Romance, Young Adult

Synopsis:
Theodora “Teddi” Donovan and Calvin Wynne have always hated each other. They didn’t have a choice after Teddi’s bootlegger father killed Calvin’s and left them both orphaned. The scandal has fueled gossip in quiet, quaint Brookhurst, New York, for over a decade. When a friendship develops between them as teenagers, they are ridiculed and shunned by the strict society that dictates life in their town. As they grow older, friendship turns into love, and Teddi and Calvin have to choose between their future and the scepter of their past. Spanning continents and decades, Forget Me Not is a coming-of-age story about truth, self-reliance, and the freeing power of love.

REVIEW
Forget Me Not is actually a sweet book, in a good way. This book is split into 3 smaller books that are set in chronological order. The story revolved around Calvin and Teddi. This is my first historical romance that I have read and I’m glad I did. The setting is within a 20 year time from after World War Two.
Calvin and Teddi are lovers who happen to meet as kids. But they are growing up in the hardest time in history between family loses. I enjoyed reading about Teddi. She is very strong and her desire for the truth is inspiring.

Each character is wonderfully developed that you can feel each of their emotions. Calvin and Teddi come from two completely different worlds but are able to find their way to each other in the end. This book is actually quite sweet and I’m glad that this is my first historical fiction YA that I have read.
Overall I would give Forget Me Not ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars.
