Waiting on Wednesday - Empire of Storms by (Queen) Sarah J Maas

Waiting on Wednesdays gives me to fangirl over books, hard. And I'm going to fangirl the freak out about Empire of Storms by QUEEN Sarah J Maas. (You can tell that I'm ready to fangirl by the title of this post.) I'm going to try to calmly explain why I am excited for this book without fangirling "too" much at the same time.

The long path to the throne has only just begun for Aelin Galathynius. Loyalties have been broken and bought, friends have been lost and gained, and those who possess magic find themselves at odds with those don't.

As the kingdoms of Erilea fracture around her, enemies must become allies if Aelin is to keep those she loves from falling to the dark forces poised to claim her world. With war looming on all horizons, the only chance for salvation lies in a desperate quest that may mark the end of everything Aelin holds dear.

Aelin's journey from assassin to queen has entranced millions across the globe, and this fifth installment will leave fans breathless. Will Aelin succeed in keeping her world from splintering, or will it all come crashing down?

ship Rowaelin till the end of time. Till the Earth no longer exists and life ceases to exist, I will ship Rowaelin till the end. (A wee bit dramatic but this is my  OTP of all OTPs.) Ever since they first meet I knew that they were meant for each other. They are the yin to the yang, the moon to the sun, and more cheesy couple similes that I want to put in but I'll spare you guys the mushy OTP feels. I need more Aelin and Rowan scenes though.

Honestly, the Throne of Glass series made me realize how much I love YA. I have never been so emotionally connected to a set of characters since Vampire Academy, many years ago. I have never encountered a series that was so well crafted. It started from this small seed into this flourishing tree and I'm amazed at the growth each character has gone through.

I'm going to ugly cry when this series is over. I'll be honest right now. I'll most likely reread every single book before starting on the last.

I actually do not ship Manon and Dorian. I can't see it but it might become a thing. I understand that they both have/had a wicked side. Dorian was tortured for a good part of Queen of Shadows, which was hard to witness because all the chapters about Dorian was about torture and pain. Dorian deserves all the puppies and the world and Chaol. I ship Dorian and Chaol. Chaol and Dorian are OTP.

And to answer that last question posed by the summary. YES AELIN WILL SUCCEED DON'T DOUBT THE QUEEN.

That is all.

Tell me what books you are looking forward to this Wednesday?
